Fred Zeppelins is known as the home of rock and metal in Cork City. There has been a pub on this site since 1825 and Fred Zeppelins was established by Tom Keating in October 1997.

Fred’s is renowned for its electric atmosphere and weekly rock and roll live shows featuring both local and touring bands. There are several events every week at Freds, including Open Mic Night on Tuesdays, monthly Comedy Nights and live rock gigs every weekend.

The popular bar serves a variety of craft beers from local breweries, spirits, craft cocktails and shots, perhaps the best known being the Super Fred Special, with absinthe guaranteed to hit the spot.

You can expect to hear alternative, rock, indie, metal, punk, ska and everything in between. Our resident DJs will always play all the classic hits that you love. With regular appearances from DJ Philly, DJ Seanie Cheddar and DJ Ed Zeppelin.

When you enter the bar you immediately get a sense of the bars old world feel reflected by the slate floor and stone walls which are adorned with live gig posters from around the world.

Aside from the good beer, great music and perfect setting, the most important part of the Freds experience is the craic and the people. The patrons of Freds have a well established community, meeting up for pints, gigs and chats. We love to welcome new faces!
